Michelle Obama's Red Dress (1st White House Visit) Revealed...
The piece was a style that designer Chicago designer Maria Pinto had said she hoped Mrs. Obama would wear on election night. “I love her in clean colors, striking shapes,” Ms. Pinto had said. Mrs. Obama, who has been wearing Ms. Pinto for about five years, bought the dress, which retails for about $750, sometime during the summer, Ms. Pinto says.
Mrs. Obama, who received a tour of the first family’s living quarters from Laura Bush during the visit, is likely to see her wardrobe even more closely scrutinized once she assumes her formal duties as First Lady.
